Workday Prayer

Lord Jesus, as I enter this workplace,
I bring Your presence with me.
I speak Your peace, Your grace, and Your perfect order into the atmosphere of this office.
I acknowledge Your Lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and accomplished within these walls.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the gifts You have deposited in me.
I do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.
Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty; on which to draw as I do my job.

Anoint my creativity, my ideas, my energy so that even my smallest task may bring You honor.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary, energize me.
Lord, when I am burned out, infuse me with the light of Your Holy Spirit.

May the work that I do and the way I do it, bring hope, life, and courage to all that I come in contact with today.
And Oh Lord, even in this day's most stressful moment, may I rest in You.
In the name of Jesus my savior I pray.
Amen.

IITs rated world's third best tech body

The IITs have been ranked the third best technology universities in the world for 2005, according to the prestigious Times Higher Education Supplement (THES).

The THES said, "Peer review of the world's top technology universities shows that in 2004 the high praise for IITs was no fluke." IIT had been ranked fourth in 2004.

Assessments and ratings of THES are highly valued the world over and treated as a guide in the academic and employment circles.

Declaring the IITs' elevation, the THES said they were "a source of Indian national pride as well as of innovation and wealth".

The IITs were ranked 36th in the world among science universities. In the "golden triangle" universities, the Imperial College in London was regarded as the hottest university, ahead of Cambridge, and slotted in the fifth position in the world.

THES explained, "Our definition of technology covers the main engineering disciplines including information and communications technology.”

This high praise of the IITs comes along with another glowing tribute which says India is "head and shoulders above the competition in global sourcing".The finding by Gartner, leading business research consultants, further said China, Brazil and the Czech Republic were making inroads but "they currently lack some of the attributes to qualify as leaders".

Today I'm realising that I'm really at the best place. But, why dont I feel this...? Why dont I feel that I'm in world number 3 institution...? We are still sharpening pencils in our mechanical drawing lab although the rest of the world is using AutoCad. Ya..Some of the departmental courses are too old and need some change. Before being proud of it, IIT must satisfy the students...and I am damn sure that students of IITs are not satisfied with the system....well...I'm one of them.

    My dream

Today I had a dream of falling all the upper teeth. 'Falling teeth dreams' are repeatedly occuring during my sleep. Its 15th-20th time. I was so worried and scared about what it mean. So, I started searching about this phenomena.

Below is one of the articles I got about that:

Falling Out Teeth - Dream Symbols

Parents are overjoyed at a child's first tooth. This major milestone is recorded in baby books and announced to anyone who'll listen. Baby teeth will be replaced by permanent teeth during the natural process of growth and maturation. Losing teeth in dreams symbolizes the loss of childhood innocence. These dreams often occur at times of transition from one life stage to the next. Your dream may be a message that an important milestone is occurring and urging you to face the inevitable. Losing teeth in dreams may also symbolize a desire to return to the security of childhood.

We need our teeth to feed our bodies. Eating is necessary to maintain the body's growth, energy and health. In this context, losing teeth may be associated with insecurity about your livelihood. Perhaps you are stuck in a "dead-end" job and fear for your future. Perhaps you are growing older and are becoming anxious about how much time you have left to work and make an income. You may be getting "long in the tooth" and fear losing your sexual attractiveness. Dreaming of false teeth symbolizes concern about your self-image. We all must deal with the process of growing older. Find fun ways to re-invent yourself incorporating all the wisdom and experience that you have gained.

Teeth falling out suddenly or all at once may symbolize fear of things that are beyond your control. Permanent teeth do not come back - you may fear or be facing a major loss. You may fear victimization; without teeth, you can't bite back. Animal teeth in dreams represent aggressiveness.

Examine the situation and think about the areas where you do have control or can make choices. If it is a situation that you must ultimately accept, reflect upon what you need to do to have closure and "let it go."

Well.....! This indicates that I should just let it go. Hmm...! Thats what I can do and thats what I'm doing. Wanna read another article about my dream...? here it is:

    Dreams About Teeth

Dreaming that your teeth are falling out is one of the many common anxiety dreams. You may dream that your teeth are crumbling in your hands or that your teeth are falling out one by one with just a light tap. Such dreams are horrifying and shocking. So what does it mean?
One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth are important in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it is a dazzling smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may be a fear of your sexual impotence, powerlessness or even getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.
Alternatively, you may fear being embarrassed in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety. Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. Symbolically, teeth therefore represent power. And losing your teeth may indicate that you are feeling disempowered. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated that your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and have low self-confidence. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.
In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth.
Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represents malnutrition which may also apply to some dreamers.
Other Perspectives- A scriptural interpretation for bad or falling teeth indicates that you are putting your faith, trust, and beliefs in what man thinks rather than in the word of God. The bible says that God speaks once, yea twice in a dream or a vision in order to hide pride from us, to keep us back from the pit, to open our ears (spiritually) and to instruct and correct us.
In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death.
According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if your are telling lies. It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.

It's all contradictory. I'm confused. Am I telling lies...? Or having fear...? or going to change myself miracuosly...? Or going to get some money fro an unknown source...? Or my family or very close friend is really ill. I'm not sure about these things. Anyone of them may occur...but definately It is a bad omen.
